Baidu Alliance Partners Number to 500,000

BEIJING, Apr 12, 2011 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- The number of alliance partners of Baidu Inc., the largest Chinese search engine in the world, has reached 500,000 by far, according to the Baidu Union Summit held on April 12, 2011.

The revenue shared by the alliance partners will arrive at CNY 1 billion, compared with CNY 760 million in 2010, said Baidu Union General Manager Chu Dachen. Based on the figures, the growth will be over 30%.

Baidu Senior Vice President Shen Haoyu disclosed that since the pilot of the Baidu APP application platform last September, the number of cooperation partners the search engine giant has ever contacted to has hit 23,000.

By the end of last year, search engines have become the largest Internet application in China. Baidu, which has played an essential role in the Chinese Internet, has recorded 200 billion websites, equivalent to the collections of 1,800 libraries in China. the number of active customers hit up to 41,200 last year, leaping 37.1% over a year earlier.
