Fed: Premiers arrive for COAG meeting
State and territory premiers have arrived at Parliament House in Canberra ahead of
their meeting today with Prime Minister JOHN HOWARD.
A one billion dollar national health reform package and ways to combat the use of marijuana
will top the list of agenda items at today's Council of Australian Governments meeting.
The premiers and chief ministers are also expected to agree to establish a national
inquiry into early childhood education.
And they should set up a national regime so trade qualifications in one state are recognised
in the others.
