TAS: Former priest faces court on indecent assault charge
A former Tasmanian Anglican priest has faced court over a sexual assault charge dating
back 20 years.
GARTH STEPHEN HAWKINS has appeared briefly in Hobart Magistrates Court, charged with
one count of indecent assault.
The alleged offence occurred at Triabunna, on the state's east coast, in January 1984.
Fifty-nine-year-old HAWKINS did not enter a plea.
He will reappear in the same court on September the 2nd.
